Bio:
Stefanie Helmrich is a Ph.D. candidate and her research focuses on understanding the cycling of inorganic contaminants with the help of biogeochemical reaction-transport models and hydrological models. Before coming to UC Merced, Stefanie received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Water Management from Technische Universität Dresden in Germany and was an intern at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. She currently works on mercury cycling in sediments and water.
