José Rodriguez is a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Systems program at University of California, Merced. José obtained his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in agricultural economics at Universidad Autónoma Chapingo and Colegio de Postgraduados, México. José uses optimization and statistics tools to study human-water system dynamics particuarly in agriculture and how these change under water management policies and climate change. His research interests include hydro-economic models, agricultural economics, uncertainty analysis, water management.
